About Jenny Pollex

Jenny is currently happily pursuing a degree in International Development in Germany and wishes to gain first-hand experience of life in a developing country. Fascinated with the potential that social enterprises and specifically the MicroConsignment Model hold, she found the perfect opportunity in the Flex Social Innovator program of Social Entrepreneur Corps. She joined the Soluciones Comunitarias team in February 2014 for a ten-week internship in Nebaj, Guatemala. Apart from lending a hand at sales campaigns, she is working on three different strategies to improve client follow-up and support. The impressions gained through the direct involvement have reinforced her motivation to pursue her interest further and to make social business the focus of her future research, investigating its capacity to improve the lives of vulnerable people.
