About Lily Raphael
Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Lily received her B.A. in International Development Studies and Arabic Language from McGill University in 2012. She went to Ecuador twice during her undgrad years, first to manage a community agriculture volunteer program, and later to study abroad and complete fieldwork on rural education and traditional ecological knowledge in Afro-Ecuadorian communities on the northern coast. Post-graduation, Lily has worked in Montreal at a law firm assisting clients with their immigration applications, as well as in fundraising and business development with the Finance Alliance for Sustainable Trade, an international organization that facilitates access to finance for sustainable agricultural producers. Lily is also a spoken word poet, and she loves hiking, dancing, tea, and cooking. She joined the C ommunity Enterprise Solutions and Social Entrepreneur Corps Ecuador team in April 2014.
